Let your child’s imagination run wild whilst reading their favourite books by helping them craft their very own rocket corner bookmark!

Before we dive into how to create your awesome rocket, there’s a few supplies you’ll need for the task:

Craft paper in bright colours

Pencil

Scissors

Craft blue/glue stick

ETA to complete the task: 15 mins

STEP 1: Cut out a square that measures 4 inches x 4 inches using craft paper and scissors. Make use of different colours to cut out the attachments for your rocket, which can be found via the image below: (via ArtsyCraftsyMom.com)

STEP 2: Fold the square in half diagonally, from one corner to the opposite corner – you should now have a triangle shape.

STEP 3: Next, place the triangle so the fold is at the bottom. Fold the top layer of the triangle downwards so the corner meets the folded base – this will create a pocket between the layers.

STEP 4: Fold the bottom right corner of the triangle upwards along the same line created by the fold in step 3. Next, tuck the top end of this into the pocket created in step 3.

STEP 5: Repeat step 4 using the left-sided corner, which will complete the corner bookmark base.

STEP 6: Stick the two circle cutouts onto the body of the rocket, with the triangle stuck to the top.

STEP 7: Stick the flame pattern on the bottom side of the paper rocket

STEP 8: Glue the remaining pieces to complete the rocket!

STEP 9: Next, place the rocket on the corner bookmark so the top corner of the rocket is aligned with the closed corner of the bookmark.

STEP 10: Stick the rocket in place, let the glue dry and your rocket bookmark project has been completed!
