- Watercolour paper
- Glue
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Paintbrush
- Pom poms
- Pipe cleaner
- Googly eyes
- Clear blue
- Bowl of water
- Liquid watercolours
- On your watercolour paper, draw with a pencil the outline of the shape of a butterfly wings including patterns.
- With glue trace over your pencil outline to create textured butterfly wings.
- Wait for the glue to completely dry. Take your paintbrush and liquid colours and decorate your butterfly wings. Tip: use different colours in the patterns.
- Allow the liquid paint to dry.
- Once the liquid paint it dry, use your scissors to cut out the wings of the butterfly.
- Create your butterfly body using pom poms. Glue the pom poms in a vertical position. Once you have formed a butterfly body you can attach the googly eyes and the pipe cleaners as antennas.
- Place the wings on a flat surface and glue the body onto the wings for a completed butterfly.
