Spring is all about new life and the colours that blossom during this beautiful season. Our Blue tissue paper bird craft is a great project for the kids to work on and get into the spirit of spring. Read how to below.
What you’ll need:
- Blue tissue paper
- Green and/or brown tissue paper
- Yellow and blue paper
- Paper plate
- Googly eyes
- Hay/ Straw
- Amos Glue
- Scissors
Method:
- Cut out three egg shape piece of blue paper and cut the paper plate in half.
- Get the kids to rip pieces of blue tissue paper and crumple the pieces up.
- Glue the tissue paper all over the egg shaped paper cut outs.
- Layer the green and/or brown tissue papers on top of each other, with 3- 4 layers per group.
- Fold each group of tissue paper accordion style lengthwise (as if you were trying to make a fan).
- Cut across the folds so that you get zig zag strips of tissue paper- you now have grass for the nest!
- Glue the grass onto the paper plate.
- Add eyes to your blue birds.
- Add the beak and feet to the birds by cutting these out from the yellow paper.
- Cut out wing shapes with the blue tissue paper and glue those on too.
Now show off your little ones masterpieces in a nice spot on the fridge or wall!
